He touched the soft marble with the tips of his fingers. He always liked the sense of the pure, cold feeling of the black marble surrounding the temple. He followed the smooth surface with his hand, watching the shadows of his fingers. He turned back and faced the sun. The sky was red and purple with the last rays of the sun. He smiled. Nights are always peaceful. He allowed his mind to diffuse into the peace he was experiencing.

While birds were singing their last adages for the day, he raised his arms in prayer.

"Dear, thank you for your kindness."

"Dear, thank you for your kindness." replied a young, clear voice.

He looked  down to the youngling who was waiting patiently:

"Oh, i didn't see you boy. When did you come?"

"I did not want to disturb you father. I have an errand; Master Telai told me to give this letter to you." He dipped his hand into the gray shadows of his white tunic and extended a small piece of paper.

"Thank you son, you can go eat your dinner."

The little boy nodded seriously and moved away with silent steps.

Agame unified his arms in the sleeves of his purple robe and moved to the dining hall. But instead of entering, he took out the small paper and raised it near a torch to see it clearly. It was written in the language of the old order. He concentrated and read the text:  Father Agame,we are waiting for you.

He closed his eyes and dipped the paper into the flames. When the fire started to bite his fingers he threw the paper into thin air. When the last piece of paper was charred, Agame sensed a tingling around the follicles of his long, black hair. He sensed that his hair was erecting and his body was under an enormous pressure. Then everything returned to normal. He opened his eyes and could not decide where to go. It was dark like a barrel of ink. The air was heavy and dusty. Agame sensed his hair was returning to normal. He sensed every single one of them while they were obeying the law of gravity.  He reached his small backpack and took out a little bag. He opened it and whispered:   Marcus, wake up! Show me the way.
A little rock flew out of the bag and started to grow like a heated iron bar. Agame concentrated to hear his weak thoughts:

"Agame, don't you respect old fellows? Why don't you create another burning orb ?"
"I like you Marcus." Agame said, "And no other orb can match your wisdom."
Marcus grumbled and swung left to right expectantly.
"Marcus, Telai sent me here. Can you sense him?"

The stone tried to feel the warmth of human beings. They were not far away, they were a few steps ahead.
"Follow me Agame" said Marcus, "There are six of them."
Marcus flew ahead of Agame to show the way. Agame followed him with a slow pace. After a few steps they reached a door. Agame touched it. He sensed the pure, cold feeling that he sensed in the temple. "You can go back to sleep Marcus" said Agame, raising the little bag. Marcus flew into it, feeling pleased. "Thank you Marcus" said Agame, while Marcus was growing dim.
Agame leaned both hands against the cold marble and concentrated. He cleared his throat and shouted:   "Aqueeah! Ayk Malake Agame!"

Agame felt all the energy around him concentrated in his hands. He saw the green chaotic whirls of pure energy. When his hands were diving into the marble like it was mere mud, Agame slowly stepped in.

The room was well lighted with six big torches. The flames were still and they were illuminating the round room which was carved in a rich source of black marble. In the middle of the room there were six figures. Six masters of the old order, called the six.
Agame stepped into the light and Telai stood up:  "Welcome to the source of our cult, Father Agame." said Telai with a thundering voice.

Just before Agame opened his mouth to answer, another black robed figure stood up:
"We are the six guardians, protecting this room and old knowledge." said with the exact voice.   "But, also we are the six pieces of the key" said another one while rising from his chair.   "And you are the missing seventh" shouted the masters, known as the six.
Agame did not know what to do. He was not ready for that. How can one be ready for that?  What is this key supposed to do? What must he do?

"Don't worry Agame." said Telai, "you were raised for this day. Now you are ready."  "Come and take what was always yours young Agame." told the oldest one showing the table.   Agame stepped forward. There was another black robe lying on the table.
"Come and wear it Master" .

His heart was trembling with excitement. He followed the steps of the ritual of ascension. He tore his own robe and let it drop. He took the black robe and wore it. He hid his head within the darkness of his new robe's black hood.
When he was ready, all the six were ready too. "Let's sit." The old one said and touched the table.

Agame saw that there was a seven pointed star on the table and each point was directing to a chair. One by one, the six touched the tip in front of them. Agame waited for his turn and did the same.
"We are the six guarding you dear!" shouted the six with trembling voices "We want you back! We are hungry for your face! We have waited for thousands of years! We were waiting for the seventh! And now we are ready!

Agame thought he saw the back of a bride standing on the table. Her hair was long enough to reach her feet and its colour was golden, black and white. She turned slowly to him. He saw her white face, decorated with golden runes and black jewels. She smiled ferociously.   "So you want to end your life for me?" she said with a voice so beautiful it made Agame want to cry.

"Who are you, I don't know you!

"I am the goddess you pray to every sunset “,she said; her tone did not change.

He started crying like a little child. "I live for you my dear, and of course I will die for
you."

"You did not live for me." replied the goddess, "They don't live for me either." and she pointed to the six. "But I know what you say is true, you want to live for me and you want to die for me. Don't be embarrassed my son. It was not your fault, you couldn't know, but they did, they had the power to do so." Then she smiled. Agame felt that he has lost his mind. He knew he felt the power of love emanating from her.

"I now know why we call you Dear " said Agame.

The Goddess smiled. "Would you want to share this knowledge?" asked Goddess expectantly.

- "Yes my dear, my love, my life."

- "Then you are my prophet, my husband, my knight... my dear."

Agame felt the love of her, he felt he has been loved. He felt that everyone deserves that love and those six were the only obstacle.
- "Don't worry my dear." said the goddess, " I will handle them. Now go share your love, and don't forget me, like they did."
Agame said "I won't." to the empty room.

I thought it would be interesting to document a bit of the process of creating my dolls here. I myself sometimes think the bits and pieces each on their own are even more fascinating than the end result. I really wanted to do something special for this collaboration so this doll wound up about twice the size of what i usually make, and spawned a new body pattern that I had been having problems getting together before.

After our initial introductions through e-mail Yigit and I talked a bit about what our talents were in order to figure out what we would work on together. He made a suggestion that perhaps he could write a story to go with one of my dolls. That sounded great to me, but I didn't want to just skate by on the project with a piece of art I'd already created so I decided that I would make a new doll just for this. Yigit would then write a story to go with this doll and off we would go.
